Job Description


This role is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and coordination services to the Global Mobility team, for all matters relating to international assignments, transfers, and other mobility-related functions.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing advice to both the business and HR on all aspects of global relocation matters for the Europe/International region
  • Project manage the initial stages of the assignment lifecycle from cost estimate/new initiation stage to the employee starting their assignment. This to ensure a positive employee experience and meeting the necessary business requirements in a timely manner.
  • Partnering with the business to provide responsive and time critical advice and guidance in respect of new overseas bids and overseas resources/new assignment enquiries.
  • Provide feedback and best practices solutions related to current policies and processes
  • Being a point of contact for vendors - including relocation, tax service and immigration service providers
  • Consult with stakeholders at all levels in the business, on complex immigration matters
  • Support the regional GM Managers when required
  • Provide monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reporting to HR leadership, the wider Global Mobility team and other stakeholders as necessary
  • The operating model for GM is changing, with the day to day administration activity largely being undertaken by the GM operations team. However, key to the success of the assignee experience is the smooth implementation at the earlier stages of the assignment lifecycle and thus your input may be required from time-to-time in some operational tasks e.g. running a cost estimate and in the event of any urgent requests.
  • Supporting the regional Global Mobility Lead and wider Global Mobility team with cross border remote working requests and wider project.


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements

  • Some previous experience in a global mobility capacity including expatriate and relocation program management.

Preferred Qualifications and Key Responsibilities:

  • Expatriate tax experience in a professional services firm along with in-house Global Mobility experience. This should include a working knowledge of creating cost estimates and assignment letters.
  • Good working knowledge of immigration, tax and social security complexities
  • Experience of assignee case management/ and relocation issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to handle sensitive situations/documentation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
  • Strong cross-cultural awareness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of Assignment Pro and Workday technology
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Comfortable working with assignments/relocations to locations that may not have established processes or have had previous assignments into.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment which can often result in having to manage conflicting priorities and working autonomously.
  • Strong team player, with a can-do pro-active attitude and ability to work effectively with remote teams.
  • Effective customer service skills ensuring a positive experience for our internal stakeholders.
