WRc, part of RSK Group is seeking an Operations Manager to join our Non-Destructive Testing & Inspection team (NDTi) on a full time, permanent basis in Swindon with flexibility for hybrid home and office working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all NDTi, Leakage Detection and UAV survey activities, including expanding our client base and the delivery and development of the business
  • Drive the introduction of innovative services to both existing and new clients as well as growing the business including ensuring repeat business from existing customers
  • Establish and embed effective management procedures/controls, to ensure successful/safe delivery of schemes of work and delivery of the region budget and drive productivity
  • Deliver an effective and efficient first-class service to our customers
  • Motivate and lead a team as well as ensuring the team has relevant training and are equipped with the relevant equipment and skills to meet demands
  • Assume responsibility for the health and safety of all business delivered from your department
  • Weekly travel within the UK

Person Specification

  • Inspection / construction / engineering background, ideally with previous water sector experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a client facing role Operations Management role (technical and/or project delivery)
  • Experience of managing diverse portfolios of projects with multiple clients and teams, often to demanding timescales
  • Excellent communicator with a proven record of building strong relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to travel in the UK and internationally
  • Experience of working in and managing people in teams
  • Technology background or an engineering mindset
  • Proactive and methodical approach to problem solving as an individual and as part of a team with a desire to find a solution
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary and Benefits

  • Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
