About the Hospital
We have a large friendly team of vets with a broad range of experience. This, combined with the large surgical caseload here means that you will develop your skills rapidly. We do all surgeries in-house, including fracture repairs (mainly ASIF plates) and other orthopaedic procedures. We also have a large medical caseload, with in-house and external bloods, digital x-ray, endoscopy and a brand-new ultrasound machine available to work these up.
About You
This role would be suitable for someone who wants to develop their skills, but also pass on their knowledge. The team is friendly and very supportive. At the hospital we have three theatres and a dedicated x-ray room. Digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.
Weekend work is limited to one in eight (days only) and night cover is outsourced. There is no sole charge or on call. The current vacancy is full time, however
work-life balance is very important to us at PDSA, so we are happy to explore flexible and/ or part time working opportunities. We are able to offer a huge range of options. For instance, we would consider a consult only position or we could offer a contract for
anything up to 40 hours per week if you want to top the salary up from the amount stated above. We would also be able to agree to
a term time only contract if that helps working parents!
How would you like your contract to look? Get in touch and lets see if we can make this role your ideal one!
We understand the importance of
personal growth, but also that this means different things to different people. We want to support our employees on this journey, whether it be developing clinical skills, or working towards management goals.
