At the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern. In addition, although the role advertised may have a ‘home’ office base indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
The successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been necessary to take significant steps to protect the health and safety of our staff, service users and those attending our sites. Unless exempt, we encourage and support staff to be vaccinated as this remains the best line of defence against COVID-19.
Do you have a background and experience of leadership/management? Do you share our CARE values (Compassionate services, Achieving high standards, Respecting individuals, Empowering people)? Then come and join us as an NHS Complex Emotional Difficulties Team Manager. It is an exciting time to join the team as we grow and develop to deliver a high-quality service which is forward thinking and innovative.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person with a genuine interest in working in a specialist mental health setting. Experience/knowledge of working specifically with people with Complex Emotional Difficulties is not essential al long as you are passionate and willing to learn about this area. If you have a background of experience in leadership or management then we would welcome your expressions of interest and would be pleased to have a chat about the role.
We would welcome people from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds who have a strong knowledge and experience of leading and managing, and who are keen to take the step into this exciting clinical leadership opportunity.
We have a strong leadership team to support this role. There is an Operational manager, Clinical Leads and a wider network of operational and team managers within Targeted Services and the Community Mental Health Teams.
With the community transformation now well underway, there is so much development and innovation going on in Cornwall and within the Complex Emotional Difficulties Team (CEDT) right now.
To date we have focussed on the development and delivery of evidence-based therapies.
In addition we are now focussing on the development of our expert by experience workforce, delivery of peer-support groups, and how we offer a range of support across the health and social care community (‘the universal offer’).
We also need to plan training, supervision, consultation and support for our Trust and friends and colleagues in primary care and across the voluntary sector.
The Team Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and will work closely with the Operational Manager and Professional leads on transformation and development of the service.
We are looking for a team manager who is able to lead compassionately working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, to ensure that they are fully supported to provide needs led care and treatment for our service users.
We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
We are a people organisation and people matter to us. As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.
Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.
We work in people's homes, in community clinics and bases. Some staff work from one of our 13 community hospitals. Our aspiration is to have great people, provide great care, be a great place to work and a great partner.
Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
