Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. We have a Primary school (New Oaks) and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state of the art facilities for our students.
Due to our rapid and continued expansion, we are looking to appoint a highly skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with Manual Handling responsibilities to work in our Primary School. You must be passionate about working with students with special needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment. You must be competent with using Makaton signing and symbols for communication and essentially have experience of working with students with autism and complex needs. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief. Pay Scale: Hounslow Pay Scale 6 Point 16 to Point 20
Actual Salary: £23,266 to £24,857 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, term time only
Hours of work: 32.5 hour per week.
8.30 am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Plus, one additional hour on a set day per week for curriculum team work.
Induction: The successful candidate will need to attend an essential pre-employment induction on 21st July 2023
