One of our key “Spirit” behaviours here at Vodafone is titled “Create the Future” – and here you have an opportunity to do just that. We are scaling up a team that will deliver a platform, service and support for us to engage with a new and until now underserved customer group - the developer.
To that end we are looking for a thought leader, highly credible and experienced Strategy Manager that will support the team in the development of insight-led Global strategy for Developer Marketplace to accelerate our transition from start-up to a best-in-class Marketplace, driving our transformation from a Telco to a Techco. This will include.

• Understanding of the market and technology trends, competitive landscape as well as
• Demonstrating customer focus (Developers) and external orientation to bring new ideas and thinking
• Creation and implementation of the Developer Marketplace Strategy for the Vodafone Group

This role provides thought leadership and solutions to enable sustainable, profitable revenue growth for the Developer Marketplace, while it supports the wider Group (including individual countries) for specific ad hoc strategic initiatives of high impact.

With us you will...

• Distil market analysis, customer and competitive intelligence, industry, and technology trends into usable insight for compelling strategy formulation, while interlocking the strategy with local markets. Renowned for being a clear, influential voice among internal and external stakeholders.
• Define strategic guidelines for customer (Developers), partner & ecosystem, product, GTM and commercial strategy Provide input and agree:

1. Roadmaps that build scalable and repeatable product capability that can be leveraged across multiple markets and segments
2. Plans that deliver against our LRP and in-year revenue budget
3. Business cases for new strategic product ideas, engaging and collaborating with Developers and markets to validate the opportunity

• Create annual strategic input for quarterly and annual planning cycle, ensuring they take into consideration both Global and local market trends.
• Identify opportunities to continually improve the market perception of key capabilities.
• Evangelise strategy with strategic customers and support analyst engagement and other industry events
• Prepare proactive and reactive Board briefing papers on items relating to the Developer Marketplace

It would be nice if you have...

• Previous experience in a top Strategy Consulting firm or in a Corporate Strategy role
• Experience in the TMT (Telco, Media and Technology) space with understanding for Developer community is a strong plus; high level of commercial expertise is required
• Highly analytical and numerate, quick thinker, and strategic mind-set, with ability to systematically break down complex problems
• Strong focus on execution, with a result driven attitude and detail-oriented approach, while being comfortable to navigate through ambiguity to define direction and recommendations in an effective and timely manner
• Excellent communication, influencing & negotiation skills
• Proven experience working in cross-functional teams
• Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity & explaining complex issues in a simple way
• Resilient under pressure
• Post graduate qualification, with minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• An MBA is preferable (or equivalently the combination of professional experience and technical qualifications demonstrating the skills acquired as part of an MBA curriculum)
