The position is part time, 0.8 FTE, to start 1 September 2023 on a permanent basis. This post is open to job share. There may be the possibility of additional time being available, to make the post up to Full time.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or teachers to join our Autism and Language Team within Brighton and Hove Inclusion Support Service (BHISS).
We are seeking a specialist SEN teachers who can support mainstream schools to effectively include pupils with autism and language difficulties.
We wish to fill a 0.8 vacancy. This job is ideal for job-share. Please state the preferred amount of time you wish to work from 0.4 FTE to 0.8 FTE clearly at the top of your personal statement. There may also be the possibility of the role being extended to full time at a later date.
Expertise and experience of teaching and supporting autistic pupils and/or pupils with developmental language disorder (DLD) is essential. This role is primarily focused on supporting mainstream primary and secondary schools, and therefore experience and expertise teaching across KS1,2 3 and 4 is desirable. BHISS is based in Portslade Village , but the majority of time is spent visiting schools across the city in an advisory teacher role. A car is NOT essential.
