Job Description

As a luxury brand of French origin, Sofitel intends to change clients’ viewpoint and preconceived ideas about Meetings. Sofitel views each meeting as unique and tailor-made, transforming it into a stimulating, memorable encounter for both the organiser and participants. Sofitel will exceed service expectations by providing a real experience through its Meetings brand.

Working closely with the F&B supervisors, the Waiter is responsible for the set up, refresh and tidiness of the Conference & Events space as well as all Back of house areas and ensures that all Meeting rooms and Catering Requirements are set up according to the function sheet for the next day.

The Porter is accountable, while on duty, for the immaculate tidiness of the C&E area and all equipment through effective time management.

Main Duties:

• Responsible for the collection of any deliveries either to the staff entrance or to concierge. This includes equipment, customer’s packages, stock deliveries, linen etc.
• Is responsible for the cleaning, storing and proper usage of all equipment
• Follows the opening/closing procedure at all times
• Sets all rooms according to the function sheet
• All rooms not in use are set with a full set up or empty
• Refreshes rooms and breakout areas during break times
• Clear all rooms from dirty & used dishes, dirty table cloth and left over food & beverage
• Polish all equipment required for next days set ups

Qualifications

Experience as a Waiter-ess ideally in a Luxurious environment

Knowledge in Wines and spirits

Flexibility and willingness to learn
