DESIGNATION : Senior Tax Analyst, UK

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance department is responsible for all key accounting, reporting and tax matters affecting the company and for the design, implementation, maintenance and operation of financial processes and internal controls.

The Finance department is accountable for the management and oversight of the following functions:

  • Settlements
  • Accounting
  • Consolidation reporting
  • Financial control
  • Financial planning & analysis
  • Tax


Key roles and responsibilities

  • Be Tax initial point of contact for front office enquiries; conduct initial research into technical queries from international tax perspective
  • Assist with preparation of transfer pricing documentation and APA application, liaise with external advisers
  • Review commercial contracts, including ISDAs and MSAs, for tax content
  • Review VAT treatment of transactions including liaising with Settlements team to ensure correct invoicing
  • Liaise with Finance staff to obtain information for preparation of tax returns and tax authority enquiries and co-ordinate preparation with external advisers
  • Assist in review of VAT returns
  • Assist with quarterly tax accounting



QUALIFICATIONS

Key Qualifications and Experience:


  • Possess ACA, CTA, ADIT or similar qualification
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years in Big 4 accounting firm or an in-house tax department for a multi-national company
  • Positive, conscientious, hands-on, and self-driven. Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and able to work effectively with people of different culture and at all levels
  • System savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Sun/Horizon system experience is an advantage
