Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join Syngenta’s UK Cereals Seeds business. You will be the end-to-end crop owner for key UK & Ireland seed crops and manage the product life cycle management of the crop. Accountabilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Identifying and developing value adding services and solutions, in close coordination with cross functional teams, that meet differentiated and sustainable value offers.
• Developing the marketing, brand and master campaign plan for new product launches and core products.
• In this highly visible role, you will contribute towards and synergise regional crop strategies as a key interface within the Regional Seeds team.

Qualifications

Requisite Experience, Skills and Behaviours:

• Proven track record and experience in a marketing /commercial role in the agri-business sector or in a relevant industry
• Strong Knowledge and experience on marketing concepts and tools (e.g. portfolio management, insight mining, strategic planning, brand segmentation and positioning; pricing, communications, sponsorship/alliances; campaign development and management)
• Sound knowledge on digital concepts, tools, and platform to enable the growth of the business
• Excellent communication skills, agile and able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team are essential
• Analytical thinking
• Understanding of market dynamics and competitive environment in UK cereals markets and ability to translate it into strategy is desirable.
• Ability to design a roadmap of a robust and profitable portfolio strategy
• Able to use market research effectively to understand customer, markets and channels; insight mining and distributing useful reports to help business arrive at an informed decision
• People management experience
