Nurse Assessor Role (Fully Home-based)
Starting Salary - £42,000 –
Growing to £43,000 upon completion of training and £44,000 at 1 year service
(performance related)

We are currently recruiting for homebased clinicians across the UK who are seeking a new direction to working in the traditional nursing roles. These positions are suitable for Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD), Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists.
Recognised by the NMC as clinical so able to maintain your NMC / HCPC pin from the comfort of your own home!

Overview:

As a clinical disability Assessor, you will draw on your experience as a clinical expert to assess and examine individuals with disabilities and illnesses who have applied for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). You will listen sensitively to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to report on how their disability or health condition is affecting their daily life. Your factual report will help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.

You will be supported in managing your caseloads efficiently, with the time to give consultations the care and attention they deserve. You will not be expected to work long days, do night shifts or take work home with you! We are currently undertaking telephone assessments with claimants.

Essential Person Specification:

  • Post-qualification experience in one of the following occupations: Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist.
  • Have an active registration with NMC/HCPC with no restrictions on practice.
  • No previous Disability Assessor experience is required as training is provided. However, it is essential that any applicant is either a qualified Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist.
  • Appropriate workspace within the home setting that allows you to successfully complete your role
