Knottingley Business Unit (Days)

Role description:
The successful applicant must have the ability to carry out repairs and maintenance on cold end equipment and contribute to efficient job changes.

Responsibilities:
Prepare cold end mechanical equipment ready for a job change in order to ensure that all equipment meets the necessary specifications for the new job.
Take part in job changes, setting up and adjusting cold end equipment as necessary in order to maintain efficient operations during and after the job change.
Identify and rectify mechanical faults with cold end equipment in order to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
Communicate with the management team and colleagues in order to establish and maintain a well-informed team.

Modify and adjust cold end equipment when necessary to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime.
Complete a SAP log when each job is complete to establish and maintain a well-informed team.
Comply with Company Health and Safety procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment.
Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with the Company Hygiene Rules.

Required skills / qualifications:
Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer
Excellent communication & analytical skills
Lean manufacturing experience (desirable)
FLT Licence (desirable)
Personal and professional drive for success.
Excellent standard of numeracy, literacy and IT skills

What we offer:
Competitive salary, minimum £28,603 and maximum £35,256 per annum
Hours of work are typically Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
25 days holiday plus 8 statutory holiday days per annum
