With a sound understanding of general accounting tasks, i.e. balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments? The role is within a small, busy head office where demands vary daily and so working under your own initiative are key. Based in the heart of Mayfair, London. Hybrid working: 3 days office / 2 days working from home

A very exciting new Management Accountant role has arisen working within the education industry - PE Backed. £40K - £50K+ bonus + study support based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience of preparing monthly management accounts and be familiar with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments along with VAT returns.

Further responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations for the head office entities, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow Statement and KPIs
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Monthly accounting for all property costs
• Weekly consolidation and reporting of group cash
• Assistance with head office budgeting and forecasting
• Key point of contact for the external auditors

The ideal candidate:

• Part Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) – and have sat and passed exams in addition to exemptions (if applicable)
• Experience within either a Global / large or Group Finance Function
• Strong excel skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with the capacity to multi-task over several on-going projects
• Well organised and conscientious, with good attention to detail
