Guided by our values – integrity, responsibility, creativity and confidence - we transform the lives of the people and communities we serve.

We currently have a vacancy for a Lecturer in Management, Leadership and Professional Development within the Department of Management located within Glasgow School for Business and Society. The School is third in Scotland for overall student satisfaction for Business and Management (Chartered Association of Business Schools, 2022). The Department delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the area of international business/business management, operations/supply chain management, and social innovation with programmes accredited by EFMD, CMI, CIPS and CILT.

The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the delivery of modules that focus on an introduction to management/leadership theory as well as professional development and graduate employability skills, including preparation for placements offered on both our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The applicant must have experience at higher education level of delivering and assessing modules in some of these areas as well as experience of dissertation/project or placement supervision. Some industry or consultancy experience relevant to the programmes delivered by the Department is also desirable.

Applicants must be qualified to at least Masters level in a relevant subject area and have relevant professional body membership. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills.

All applicants must complete the online application form detailing how they meet the essential and desirable requirement for the role. A covering letter (1 page maximum) and a short CV (4 pages maximum) may also be included.

Please address any informal queries to: Dr Susan Ogden, Head of Department at S.Ogden@gcu.ac.uk.
