Job Description
Recra is working in partnership with a leading fleet management company who are looking to add a night HGV Technician to its team. The position is for an experienced HGV Technician responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to Surpass MOT standards.
Particular areas of responsibility will be to:
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard.
- Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
- Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customers’ premises.
- Liaise with the parts department to attain parts.
- Ensure appropriate clocking is made, and all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
- Maintain thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.

- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.

Particular experiences/skills that will be regarded as ideal are:
- Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.
- Current driving license.
- LGV/HGV license.
Hours:
- Tuesday - Friday 9 pm-7 am (30-minute Lunch).
