Graduate Events Executive – German / English Speaker

We’re hiring an English and German speaking early career graduate to join the events team of an established global B2B media and events company as an Events Executive.

What Will You Be Doing?

This early career Events Executive role is perfect for an English and German Speaking Graduate looking to develop a career in business events. There are two main elements to this role; firstly you will be responsible for contacting, promoting and confirming senior professionals to attend large-scale business conferences & events. Secondly, you will take the lead on identifying and securing exciting Start-Up companies to exhibit on-site at the event. You will be tasked with:

• Identifying, connecting with and securing relevant start-up companies to join the event as an exhibitor.
• Identifying and making contact with senior business leaders to invite them to attend events as a VIP.
• You will benefit from being given lots of information to work from and also have the opportunity to source organisations & professionals you feel would benefit from exhibiting/attending the event.
• You will be on the phone a lot talking with high-level decision makers, writing engaging & promotional emails, using the data provided by the marketing team and the CRM (Salesforce) plus researching new contacts to speak with.
• There will be data and business leads available for you to develop and this role would suit a confident communicator and an inquisitive person who uses their initiative and can successfully collaborate with the other internal teams such as; sales, marketing & production.
  

Who Are You?

To be considered for this position you will be:

• A graduate with a good degree (2:1/1st)
• Fluent in English and German languages
• Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) as you will be on the phone a lot, writing plenty of business emails and attending regular meetings.
• Organised with excellent time management skills
• A collaborative and positive team player
• Have creative and innovative business ideas
• As you will be working on big events you need resilience, commitment, motivation and determination to achieve your goals
• A self starter that can create and maximise opportunities
• Be capable of working to deadlines and targets in a busy environment!
• Mature with a professional approach to business and able to manage the responsibilities this role requires.
