Your Team

We are an Agile team in the Engineering division distributed across two locations - Edinburgh and Zurich. We contribute to the architectural shift to microservices paradigm at Avaloq and develop the tools and frameworks used across the company to support various business processes.

Our technology stack includes Java, SQL, Spring Boot, Angular, Docker and Kubernetes.

Job Description

Your Mission

• Help us to maintain and evolve frameworks and tools running on Kubernetes platform
• Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle – from analysis, all the way to testing and deployment
• Third-level support in case of a production issue
• Maintain the great team spirit and excellent collaboration, despite of the distributed nature of the team

Qualifications

What you need

• Strong software engineering background with eagerness to learn and take up new challenges
• In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot, JEE (EJBs), JPA, JMS, JAX-WS/JAX-RS, SQL, JavaScript and/or Angular TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

You will get extra points for the following

• Experience with Unix systems
• Experience with OSGi
• Experience with Identity and Access Management tools (such as Ping Identity)
