About the role

The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Bartlett School of Architecture’s day-to-day operations. The post holder will undertake a wide range of tasks and will be expected to work independently of the Facilities, Building and Safety Manager and Facilities, Building and Safety Assistant Manager. The role is focused on supporting and advising staff and students on a variety of operational matters, such as room-allocation, telecommunication, internal and external postal services as well as administrative tasks related to both H&S and Facilities operational matters. The post holder will be expected to liaise with UCL Estates in order to coordinate any maintenance issues and requests, cleaning and waste requirements, departmental bookable rooms and security services. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible. We are seeking candidates who have experience of forming good working relationships with a range of people, e.g. academic and administrative staff, students, immediate colleagues, suppliers, contractors and UCL central support staff. Alongside this we are looking for people with the ability to work Independently, prioritise workload and have a hands on approach. The successful candidate should possess the skills in the ‘Skills and Abilities’ area of the Person Specification of the Job Description.
