Responsible for ensuring sustained growth of turnover and net operating profits by effectively managing the kitchens within the site and the delivery of culinary. Responsible for providing day to day advice, innovative solutions and quality service in line with business objectives and company standards to achieve and maximise set targets in line with set budgets. Establish and maintain a committed and engaged team across all kitchens on site.
Your key responsibilities as the Executive Chef are to:
- Be able to manage Staff Feeding, Hospitality/Events and PDR kitchen operations
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with the Client/s
- Offers innovative solutions and leads Head Chefs to ensure proactive management of kitchen teams
- Ensure all legal H&S, FS and company policies are up to date and completed
- Manage compliance, keeping relevant documentation up to date for regular client audits
- To complete all tasks to their time schedules including the monthly analysis of figures reported to the client
- To show financial management through correct costing, stock taking and menu planning benefiting both Lexington and our customers
- Working closely with the head chefs and site managers to always ensure a smooth-running operation
- To understand the business needs and requirements and work flexibly to suit, delivering a ‘one team’ approach
- To carry out all reasonable tasks expected by management
Working Pattern: 40 HoursSkills and Experience
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Executive Chef include:
- At least 2-3 years as an Executive Head Chef
- B&I experience in a commercial environment and hospitality, (Law firm) preferably
- Provide best in class food and service
- Excellent at planning ahead and able to look at multiple options to help make a final well-informed decision
- Manage, motivate and develop the team
- Positive, polite and realistic
- Must be friendly, a great team player, excellent communicator, fun, calm, enthusiastic and professional at all times
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and work under pressure and can work to tight deadlines
- Financial acumen and computer literacy is a must
- Enthusiasm for the industry, passion for food and understanding of the changing industry, good knowledge of food trends
- Experience in providing data for documents, presentations and client reviews
- You will be a driven self-starter who will relish this challenge
