Job Description
Assignment Media are publishers of 4x4 Magazine, The Landy newspaper, Custom Car Magazine and Heritage Land Rover Magazine.
We're a small team and are therefore looking for someone starting out in Journalism/Editorial who will enjoy being part of and learning in all areas of the editorial and production process of the magazines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee magazine production on 4x4 and Custom Car, liaising with contributors, designers, the editor and the ad sales team, ensuring a smooth flow of material leading up to print deadlines
- Create and upload print-ready PDFs
- Source and write news, clubs, events and products material for 4x4 and The Landy
- Write features for 4x4, Custom Car and The Landy
Requirements
- An interest in cars and car culture
- Good written English and ideally some experience in magazine or newspaper journalism
- Familiarity with Creative Suite, in particular InDesign
- Very good organisational skills
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team
- An unflappable character when things get stressed
Training will be available for the right candidate in whatever areas are necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
