Job Description


We are looking for a talented Delivery Lead to join our team!

You’ll be working collaboratively with the Head of Delivery, product managers, technical leads and your agile squads, acting as the conduit between the four. You will be delivery focussed, able to set the direction for the squad, remove impediments and spot opportunities for improvement. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of epics & user stories: from setting direction, through discovery, delivery and subsequent iterations.

Your typical day will involve facilitating agile ceremonies, defining working processes, updating and communicating progress to various stakeholders at all levels, including delivery timelines and taking a steer from senior stakeholders and Product Managers where needed. Your role will also involve following the product management office (PMO) processes and timely submission of documents as required by PMO.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Head of Delivery
  • Work closely with other delivery roles: systems analysts, business analysts, delivery leads
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders: product managers, technical leads
  • Working directly with agile developments squad(s)
  • Demonstrate leadership within a positive, open-feedback team culture and environment to boost engagement, ownership, and accountability
  • Be capable of understanding and balancing commercial viability, customer satisfaction and technical feasibility
  • Play a role in the initiative discovery stages to identify and mitigate risks and validate assumptions
  • Be accountable for the tracking the velocity of squad delivery, and estimating their future sprint capacity, ensuring they can deliver working software as efficiently as possible
  • Be accountable for identification and management of dependencies with internal teams and third-party suppliers
  • Provide an escalation point for squads to identify, manage and remove impediments
  • Produce release plans and communications channels
  • Facilitate squad ceremonies such as: stand-ups, refinement, planning, demo’s and retrospectives
  • Consistently communicate with stakeholders and keep them informed of the delivery progress against product backlogs and roadmaps
  • Provide leadership within a positive, open-feedback team culture and environment to boost squad engagement, ownership, accountability, and a thirst for relentless improvement

Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience of agile methodologies, with frequent deliveries in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in roles such as, product owner, product manager, scrum master, project manager, or a technical discipline
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, communicating with senior stakeholders as well as multi-disciplinary product development teams
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach to your work
  • Able to lead, mentor or coach teams and individuals when needed
  • Ability to work in a fast changing and fast paced working environment and collaborate with multiple squads.
  • Experience in working with distributed teams
  • Experience of working in a multi-channel digital and/or retail organisation
  • Experience in working with remote or distributed teams
  • Gaming industry experience – an advantage
  • JIRA & Confluence experience – an advantage
