Job Description

About the role

Full time (35 hours per week, hybrid/flexible working, occasional evenings & weekends)

£21,000 per annum

Are you a creative graphic designer who is self-motivated and enjoys collaborative working? We’d love you to join our expanding Marketing team at Willen Hospice.

This exciting new role offers a variety of tasks. From designing impactful creative toolkits for marketing campaigns, creating engaging video content, and writing copy for online and offline channels; every day is guaranteed to be different. You will work closely with colleagues across the Hospice, designing and producing printed, digital and audio-visual content and assets that drive the charity’s key messages, increase awareness of the amazing work we do here at Willen Hospice, and help raise vital funds by encouraging supporter engagement.

You will be the brand guardian, with a passion for delivering high-quality, consistent and professional content with a strong visual brand identity. You must have excellent graphic design skills, with knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and experience using video/podcast production software (Premier Pro, Audition or similar).

For a small charity, we are a very busy team. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work to deadlines, manage time and prioritise your workload efficiently. You will also have a good eye for design, taking inspiration from external marketing campaigns and a ‘fresh take’ on the current look and feel of our branding materials.

You’ll be supported to further develop your skills if you join our creative & knowledgeable team.

In return for your skills and experience, you can expect:-

  • Generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days pro rata (inclusive of statutory and bank holidays)
  • Free onsite parking at the Hospice
  • Employer enhanced auto-enrolment pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision
  • Ongoing commitment to education and professional development
  • Blue Light Card discounts (with membership)
  • Excellent on-sitesubsidised catering facilities
  • Access to Employee Assistance Programme
