Santander Corporate and Investment Banking (SCIB) UK Compliance, supports the SCIB UK businesses in providing products and services to clients and market counterparties in compliance with relevant UK and EU regulations. This includes providing specialist advice to the SCIB UK businesses and overseeing the management of variety of other risks including conduct, market abuse, insider trading, financial crime, data protection and reputational risk.

The Central Compliance Team supports the Chief Compliance Officer in the wider management of SCIB UK Compliance, creating and maintaining policies, supporting the business across an array of business led projects and developing training programmes and coordinating collection and reporting of management information.

The Central Compliance Associate will be responsible for a number of Compliance tasks, impacting a wide range of stakeholders from across the organisation.

This role resides within Santander London Branch (Non-Ring-Fenced branch of Santander Corporate Investment Bank in the UK SCIB).

The difference you’ll make.

  • Coordinating the collection and timely reporting of all SCIB UK monthly MI
  • Tracking and monitoring of departmental open Audit and Assurance actions
  • Ensuring proper routine governance is applied to Service Level Agreements with external service providers and intra-group departments.
  • Tracking and reporting of Mandatory and Compulsory Compliance training completion for SCIB UK
  • Maintaining accurate organisation charts and headcount requests

What you’ll bring.

  • Previous experience within a similar role preferably as a CIB Compliance Officer
  • Ability to be trusted with confidential and sensitive information and ensure that it is protected.

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience managing or contributing to successful project delivery
  • Demonstrable negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to form strong relationships with key stakeholders

This is a full-time permanent position based in Triton Square London with flexibility for some home working.
