The Position

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager covering areas in and around Purfleet & Barking

As Business Development Manager you will be involved in supporting the local branches with key customer accounts, ensuring a high level of service is always maintained. You will be customer focused and be able to build and maintain professional relationships. Helping to grow and develop our market leading garage scheme and network –AutoCare.


Essential requirements:

  • Experience in building new and developing existing customer relationships
  • Full UK driving licence to cover customer base.
  • Track record of delivering great customer service and being customer focused
  • Able to develop/maintain outstanding level of service to our customers.
  • Be able to follow up on opportunities by phone and face to face.
  • Outgoing well-presented individual who takes pride in their appearance.
  • Ability to engage with the local sales and management team.


Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a motor factor or similar distribution chain
  • knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle industry (truck/trailer parts)
  • Familiarity/experience in achieving set KPIs using sales reporting and in house software ie. CMS. (full training will be given)
  • Recognise and developing sales opportunities to increase market share.
  • Sales focused with a results driven can do attitude
  • Encouraging and developing a team mentality.
  • Ability to multitask and distinguish between “urgent and important”
