We are seeking an experienced people development professional to lead on two key workforce development initiatives for Imperial: the staff apprenticeship portfolio and Imperial’s Technician Commitment.
This opportunity is available as a fixed term contract for ten months to cover the current post holder’s maternity leave.
In this People and Organisational Development Consultant role, you will act as Imperial’s lead expert on apprenticeships and work-based learning, overseeing our suite of programmes to ensure that these deliver positive outcomes for individual learners and the College. You will partner with departments to identify and deliver opportunities for new staff apprenticeships, maximising use of the apprenticeship levy to support the College’s strategic goals.
You will also play a key role in the development of our technical staff, overseeing the delivery of Imperial’s Technician Commitment, a substantial programme of activity which seeks to ensure greater visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability of technical skills at the College.
You will have substantial experience of managing apprenticeship programmes and a good knowledge of technical careers and the technical education landscape. This role also requires:

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
