SOFTWARE/POWER APP DEVELOPER

Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Coventry – hybrid working available

About The Role

We are currently looking for a professionally trained Software Developer to join our Agile Delivery Power Platform scrum team and act as a SME champion, setting standards and best practices, and delivering applications.
In this role, you will work closely with your team but also engage with the wider IT team including Software Developers of pure-code solutions, Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, Product Owners and Application and Infrastructure support teams.


Your key accountabilities will include:
  • Working efficiently as part of an Agile Delivery Power Platform scrum team with up to 3 other developers and testers and a Power Platform administrator, under the guidance and leadership of a Development Manager to deliver the agreed objectives
  • Engaging effectively with business users for requirements clarification and sprint demonstrations
  • Supporting with knowledge transfer and training of Cadent’s pool of community low-code developers, offering support and guidance to enable them to realise their own solutions
  • Working directly with clients and Product Owners to support various projects and solutions
  • Supporting the designing and creating of Microsoft PowerApps application solutions for Cadent’s business stakeholders and associated documentation to quality standards while also adhering to Cadent’s application and data policies
  • Undertaking accurate work estimations, working to sprint commitments, and contributing to sprint retrospectives and demonstrations as part of an incremental and iterative approach to product development
  • Appling industry patterns and practices in the development of user interfaces creating a modern user experience that is consistent across all product lines
  • Using data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes



About You

We’re looking for candidates who have the following:
  • Extended understanding and knowledge of Power Platform architecture and solution delivery is essential
  • Previous experience in a MS Power Application Specialist role
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification or educated to degree level in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience of developing within a no-code / low-code environment
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and ambitious personality
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Creative, innovative, and passionate approach
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy
  • High level of attention to detail and quality
Required experience:
  • Designing, developing, securing, and troubleshooting Power Platform solutions
  • Implementing solutions with multiple data sources and interfaces including Dataverse
  • Full understanding of Power Application connectors and management
  • Implementing components of solutions that include application enhancements, custom user experience, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation, and custom visualizations
  • Developing Power App solutions where data integrity and data security are key
  • Working to the standards and processes associated with Application Lifecycle Management
Preferred additional experience:
  • Working in a DevOps environment and delivering software using the Agile delivery framework
  • Experience in solution development and integration using Power BI and PowerAutomate
  • Exposure to Power Platform management and administration
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and JIRA for work and sprint management
