Accounts Payable Clerk, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger reporting to Finance Director – £24-28k dependant on experience.
Working as part of the Finance team, you will play an integral role in a fast-paced environment, providing support to the existing finance team and the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the Purchase Ledger and all associated processes, to include but not limited to:
Daily monitoring and maintenance of the Accounts Payable Outlook Inbox.
Investigating Supplier queries and providing acceptable solutions in a timely manner.
Printing, checking, coding and processing Supplier invoices. Ensuring that details are correct and that costs are charged onto Customers as appropriate.
Matching and processing Purchase Orders in Sage.
Reconciling Supplier Statements, requesting copy invoices where required.
Preparing and processing monthly Supplier Payment Runs.
Preparing, checking and processing monthly Staff Expenses.
Preparing, checking and processing monthly Company Credit Card costs.
Congestion Charges & Parking
Ad-hoc Bank Payments
- Providing support to the wider team as and when required
Skill Requirements
- Practical experience in Purchase Ledger with understanding of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
- Strong, accurate Data Entry Skills.
- Strong all-round understanding of VAT, including Postponed VAT accounting.
- Strong all-round IT Skills, including excel.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- AAT part/fully qualified or equivalent (QBE Considered).
- Committed to meet month end deadlines.
